The Power of Continuing

I used to feel obligated to make excuses for taking so long to write a book. Now I rejoice that I can discipline myself to sit at my laptop and keep going. Often the difference between published and unpublished authors is discipline. One quits. The other doesn’t.

The book I am writing now, “Turning the Tables on Adversity,” will be my second. Well, I have written numerous books during my many years, but not all for publication. God willing, I will write many more.

If you have started to write your first book and are tempted to give up, don’t. Don’t let friend or foe put you on a schedule. Take your time and express yourself. Nobody can write what is inside of you but you.

Who knows? Your book may contain the very message somebody needs to hear. So, take a break from your computer or pen and pad. Take a hike. Take a sabbatical. But don’t quit for any reason. The only way you will see the fruit of your labor is to ignore the critics and continue to the finish line.
